  • HIV Information Line

    The NSW HIV Information Line has operated from The Albion Centre since 1985, providing telephone-based information, support and referral on HIV/AIDS and related issues. The staff at the HIV Information Line can answer questions about HIV and related issues, including information about testing, prevention, risk reduction, safe sex, safe needle use and general information about treatment. Appropriate referrals to professional support and health services are also available. The HIV Information Line staff also answer calls to the NSW Needle Clean Up Hotline and the NSW PEP Hotline

    The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health (CEH) is a Victorian-based organisation that provides cultural competence and health literacy training to healthcare professionals, with particular focus on HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections.     The primary aim of GLITF is to assist the foreign partners of Australian lesbians and gay men to migrate to Australia. GLITF also provides advocacy to improve immigration law for gays and lesbians.

  • Blood and Body Fluid Exposure Phoneline

    The 24-hour Blood and Body Fluid Exposure (BBFE) Phoneline is a confidential information, support and referral service for NSW based healthcare workers, paramedical workers and emergency services workers who sustain a needlestick injury and/or experience occupational exposure to blood and body fluids exposures during the course of their work duties. The service was formerly called the NSW Needlstick Hotline.

  • NSW Health Care Interpreter Services

    NSW Health Care Interpreting Services provide access to professional interpreting services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, onsite and by telephone in over 120 languages, including Auslan. Patients, their families and carers who do not speak English as a first language or who are Deaf have the right to free, confidential and professional interpreters when they use public health services.

    Sydney Transgender & Diversity Counselling works in affiliation with The Gender Centre. We provide a range of services including group therapy, education sessions for employers, and couples counselling. And while we specialise in gender diversity, we're certainly not limited to it! We also provide counselling for alternative sexuality, relationships and lifestyles.

    National telephone interpreting service (interpreters available by phone only, not in-person). Some health and other services can register for access to free interpreting, otherwise fees may apply.

    Provides information, education and support groups for people in NSW living with anxiety disorders, including adults and children. Anxiety fact sheets translated in multiple languages and multicultural mental health resource available in English and Vietnamese.
